National Conference on Waste Management

On 29 May 2012 Ambassador Henk G.C. van den Dool addressed the audience at the National Conference on Waste Management “From Awareness to Practical Action” organized by Urban Research Institute in the framework of MATRA program of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs in partnership with KfW and German Embassy.

The aim of this conference was to share success stories and help industry and government authorities implement successful models. The conference was well attended by senior representatives of central and local government authorities, program implementers and the donor community. Conference shared the lessons learnt from the Lezha and Korca Waste Management programs and explored its wider application to the national dialogue on developing Integrated Waste Management as a priority in Albania.
