Yesterday 30 April 2013 the Dutch community in Albania celebrated the investiture of the new King of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Willem-Alexander, following the act of abdication of Queen Beatrix.
192 Ambassador de la Beij: many opportunities and potential for boosting economic and cultural ties between the Netherlands and Albania
During a visit to Albanian Daily News, Ambassador de la Beij discussed the possibilities of strengthening economic relations between the Netherlands and Albania. The Ambassador stressed the Dutch expertise in the fields of water management, agriculture and the gas sector. Albania is interested in Dutch design, architecture and music as well. In an interview with the Albanian magazine JAVA, Ambassador Martin de la Beij calls for free and fair parliamentary elections on June 23rd. The Ambassador further expressed concern about the composition of the Central Election Commission and he discussed Albania’s EU-integration process. Below is an English transcript of the interview.

Dutch cinema is coming to Albania! On 15 – 16 – 17 February 2013, fictions, documentaries, short films and animated films will be part of the Dutch Film Weekend at the Marubi Film Academy in Tirana. Most of the fiction films in this program contain something intriguingly withdrawn and hidden.
